Overview, Mission & Vision
Founded in 1984, the Philippine Dance Troupe of Ottawa is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization whose mission is to promote Filipino culture through folk dance, music and song, and to pass our heritage, culture and traditions to Filipino-Canadian children in the Ottawa area.
Since 1984, PDTO has been promoting Philippine arts and heritage through dance and music at international festivals, multicultural events, private functions, and government-hosted events in Ottawa. PDTO has also performed as far as Drummondville (QC), Washington (DC), Philadelphia (PA), and Rochester (NY).
Our PDTO dancers gain unique knowledge of Filipino folk song and dance while promoting multicultural awareness within our culturally diverse Canadian society.
